The chapel is part of the world famous ice hotel in Sweden, which is recreated every year out of ice and snow. Each Ice Chapel is newly designed, so like a snowflake no two ice hotels are ever the same.

Your wedding package can include the ceremony, flowers, photography, flights and accommodation, all of which is arranged to the highest standards. There is a choice of warm accommodation which includes a choice of a luxurious Nordic Chalet, a warm Kaamos hotel room or the spectacular Aurora House, which has specially designed skylights to reveal the mesmerising Northern Lights. All of our Ice Hotel weddings also include one night in one of the hotel’s ice suite, where you can spend an unforgettable night sleeping in arctic conditions.
The itinerary of a basic wedding at the Ice Hotel is detailed below, the length, activities and accommodation can be tailored to suit you.
Day 1 -
Arrive in Sweden

Depart the UK on a scheduled SAS flight to Kiruna, which flies via Stockholm. On arrival in Sweden’s snow-covered wonderland you are transferred by bus to the spectacular Ice Hotel. If you want to make your arrival extra special we can arrange for you to be transferred to the hotel by husky sledge (additional cost). All of our Ice Hotel weddings include at least one night in Sweden before the wedding, spend it relaxing in the ice bar or sauna.

Day 2 -
Your Ice Hotel wedding

In the morning you can enjoy a delicious breakfast before travelling into Kiruna with your local guide to deal with some simple formalities. Afterwards you will return to the Ice Hotel, where you will have plenty of time to prepare before the ceremony begins. There is no dress code for Ice Hotel weddings, couples can dress as traditionally or quirky as they wish, although we do suggest a warm shrug if you are wearing a dress. Some couples have chosen to get married in matching snow suits!
Vows are exchanged under the chapel’s intricately designed ceiling in front of an iridescent frozen altar. Guests can watch the ceremony from the chapel’s pews which are carved out of ice and covered with reindeer skins. The mesmerising architecture and enchanting setting will ensure a truly magical day.
Your Perfect Wedding Destinations coordinator can arrange a special meal at a local inn to celebrate after the ceremony. Later in the evening be sure to gather outside with your guests and look for a display of the breathtaking Northern Lights, which may provide a truly unforgettable ending to your day.
One of the best things about Ice Hotel weddings is the amazing photographs couples have of their big day there. The pristine snow-covered wilderness of Lapland in Sweden creates a fairytale backdrop for your wedding day pictures.

Day 3 -
Begin married life

Spend the first day of your honeymoon taking a thrilling husky, snowmobile or reindeer safari. We also suggest visiting the nearby village Jukkasjärvi, where you can enjoy some time alone with your beloved exploring the enchanting area.

Fly home
