Finland : Lapland Winter Wedding
A Winter Wonderland Wedding
For the perfect Lapland winter wedding travel to the extraordinary Igloo Village in Finland where you have the choice of an exquisite ice church or charming wooden chapel for your special day. There is also a chance of seeing the mesmerising Northern Lights in this remote location, where you can also enjoy a range of activities such as a Northern Light snowmobiling tour (driving licence required unless a passenger) and a husky safari.
We offer a bespoke service which allows you to add any extra details that you would like for your Lapland wedding, such as flowers, a photographer, a cocktail reception in a glass tepee and a traditional Joki-singer. A wedding co-ordinator in Lapland will meet you in the village and ensure that everything runs as planned during your wedding and honeymoon. Meanwhile our travel advisors will ensure that everything is prepared before you go away, leaving you free to relax and enjoy the building excitement for your big day.
After your Lapland wedding ceremony there is a special four course wedding meal in a beautifully decorated area of the villages’ restaurant, where the wedding-co-ordinator will happily fulfil the role of toastmaster. Accommodation is in the private honeymoon cabin, which features a large Lappish style bed, a bathroom with a free standing bath and special lighting, a private sauna, a fridge, a radio and CD player and a cosy log burning fireplace. This can be changed to feature one night in an authentic snow igloo or a glass igloo, where you will be able to see the Northern Lights from your bed if they appear. Our travel advisors can also make all the arrangements for your entire wedding party, who will have plenty to do and see during their time away due to the fantastic range of amenities and excursions at the Lapland Igloo Village.
